Happy New Year, everyone! “L’Amour dure trois ans” is coming out next week in France and Louise began promotion back in December with a presentation in Aix-en-Provence. There are more new photos coming up, but take a look at these in the meantime — she has a new haircut too!

Hi, everyone! Updates have been slow and will continue to be through the next month because I have been quite busy lately. I may update the site if I’m feeling inspired and there’s a particularly eye-catching bit of news, but other than that I’ll be playing catch-up once my semester of school ends in December. I’ve added the photoshoot from Glamour magazine with Louise and Pio to the gallery. I love the shoot — they make a lovely couple, it must be said!

Exciting news! Louise will be in director Guillaume Nicloux’s next film “La Religieuse” alongside none other than Isabelle Huppert. Louise will play a cruel and sadistic nun with Isabelle, and the role also sees her up against Pauline Étienne again, whom she acted with in “L’Autre monde.” This is exciting — the role sounds nothing like any she’s ever played before!

Actuellement à l’affiche d’Un heureux événement aux côtés de Pio Marmaï, Louise Bourgoin devrait bientôt surprendre le public. Elle sera au générique du prochain film de Guillaume Nicloux avec Isabelle Huppert, selon Cineuropa.org.

La Religieuse, adapté du roman anticlérical de Denis Diderot, suit une jeune fille issue d’une union illégitime, envoyée dans un couvent par sa mère pieuse. Elle cherchera alors à s’enfuir, et sera confrontée à l’autorité extrême des lieux.

Louise Bourgoin interprètera le rôle d’une abbesse sadique et cruelle, persuadée qu’elle doit torturer l’adolescente possédée. De son côté, Isabelle Huppert retrouvera la veine transgressive qu’on lui connaît dans le rôle d’une supérieure fascinée et attirée par l’adolescente rebelle. Face à ces deux actrices, la jeune Pauline Etienne, qui jouait dans L’Autre Monde déjà avec Louise Bourgoin.
